Elements.cloud has made The Better List! The Better Partners team built The Better List to help you find the best possible tools for your business, while on a budget. Therefore, our tech geeks did the research for you. We’ve based our recommendations on six parameters based on capability, cost, and customer service (check out this blog to get the full scoop on The Better List).
Elements brings clarity and control to complex Salesforce environments. It is a process mapping and documentation platform that helps teams visualize how their systems, data, and workflows fit together. By embedding live process maps and notes directly inside Salesforce, everyone from admins to end users can see how things work and stay aligned as the org evolves. A clearer org starts with a clearer process, and Elements makes both possible.
Use Cases
Make onboarding easier for HR teams. HR departments can design detailed onboarding process maps with embedded forms, training videos, and checklists. New employees follow the same clear path, leave feedback directly in the map, and help refine the process for future hires.
Simplify remote sales collaboration. A distributed sales team can embed live process maps and scripts right inside Salesforce. Instead of juggling PDFs or outdated documents, reps always have the latest version and can leave feedback directly where it is most useful. Updates appear instantly across the team, eliminating the need to resend files or wonder who has the right copy.
How Elements Cloud Performs Based on The Better List Criteria
Feature-Rich Configuration
Elements.cloud offers exceptional flexibility. You can customize process maps, documentation layers, and embedded content to fit how your organization works.
Cost vs. Benefit
Elements can save your admins hours of time. There’s been many times when I get a call from a frustrated customer wondering why a field isn’t keeping the information they entered in. In older Salesforce orgs, that field could be getting updated from Workflow Rules, Process Builder, Flows, Apex, and exterior API connections. Instead of having to look at each area separately, I can look right at that field in Elements and see nearly all the places that field is referenced.
The benefit you will get from Elements will depend on how you use the system. Admins & business analysts will find it a valuable tool saving lots of time. End users will benefit by having access to more detailed information and documentation directly from the context of Salesforce.
Look Before You Leap
The Elements team provides an orientation and a trial environment so you can explore the platform and confirm fit before making a commitment. There’s also a free option if all you want to use Elements for are process diagrams.
Multi-User Capabilities
There are different license types. The first “Editor” license is intended for use by Salesforce Admins, Business Analysts, and anyone who needs to be able to view the Org’s model or create/update process diagrams. The second license type is intended for end users who are going to interact via the Chrome extension to view expanded help text and documentation. You don’t have to be using both to take advantage of Elements. Many of our customers use just the Editor license to take advantage of the process diagrams
Strong Community Value
A strong, active user community shares documentation tips, process templates, and configuration best practices to help you get the most from the platform. Elements team members are also heavily involved within the Salesforce community.
Responsive Customer Support
Elements support is fast and reliable. Their in-app chat connects you directly to a human, and email support is available for more complex issues. I’ll admit I have rarely tried calling or emailing customer support, but only because I haven’t needed to. Their in-app chat has been so reliable, I haven’t needed to do anything else. I also know that if the chat isn’t enough to solve my issue, support will schedule a time so I can show my issue and often get it resolved directly on the call.
Is Elements Cloud Right For You?
If your Salesforce documentation lives in scattered spreadsheets and outdated PDFs, Elements.cloud gives you a single source of truth. It is ideal for teams that value clarity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
