Gridmate started primarily as a “grid tool.” It’s where we started using their app and absolutely loved the ease of improving productivity. Today, Gridmate has over 30 User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) Lightning components. Gridmate is a tool designed to simplify complex data management in Salesforce. It provides a suite of Lightning components that allow admins and users to manipulate Salesforce data with far greater flexibility than the standard Lightning App Builder. With Gridmate, you can display data from related lists, list views, field sets, and quick actions across all objects.
Many of Gridmate’s Lightning components bypass standard UI limitations — such as the maximum number of columns or rows, or the inability to display parent fields without formulas. This makes it a powerful add-on for organizations looking to streamline workflows, improve usability, and reduce manual effort.

Gridmate is one of those rare tools where you can’t provide a full list of use cases. We personally use Gridmate within our Salesforce environment to assist with data management, pipeline management, reporting, and project management. We often use Gridmate to enhance or simplify other parts of our environment. For example, we have Gridmate embedded in our Taskray solution to help quickly review time entry for invoicing.

How Gridmate Performs Based on The Better List Criteria
Feature Rich Configuration
Gridmate is extremely flexible — all configuration happens directly in the Lightning App Builder. You don’t need to switch between multiple tools or write custom code. Components can be personalized to display exactly the fields and layouts your org needs, supporting both related and parent records.
One of my favorite features is the “Config. Wiz.” You enter really basic information on your lightning page for the grid component and then use the Config. Wiz to easily define the remaining attributes for the component. My other favorite feature is creating “Nested” grids. On an account, I could have a grid of Opportunities and expand out an opportunity to view a grid of the Opportunity products.
Another way we use Gridmate is to replace reports. On our Accounts we can see grids that break our customer’s cases based on priority and stage. It allows the account manager to quickly see what is important to the customer, what may need a little encouragement to move forward, and what may need more internal attention. This is something we use with our weekly status meetings to review requests from customers. Doing it Gridmate allows us to update multiple records at once, quickly create new ones, and using their ‘split view’ see the full record if needed.
There’s so many different Gridmate components. There are the standard “grids” for viewing & entering lists of data. There are maps, pivots, Kanban, Calendar, and more.

Multi-User Capabilities
Each user that will be creating, viewing, or otherwise using a grid requires a Gridmate license. There are no usage restrictions. An organization can create as many grids as they need across the organization. The only requirement for building a grid is the user must be able to create and modify Salesforce lightning pages.
Strong Community Value
While Gridmate doesn’t yet have a large community knowledge base, its responsive support and specialized Lightning components make up for it. Early adopters and consultants report strong experiences with the Gridmate team, which helps shorten the learning curve.
There are also numerous Youtube videos showing how to build the grids. Between the videos and the detailed knowledge base, most of your questions are going to be quickly answered. Failing that, you can rely on some of the best customer support I’ve experienced from a vendor.
Responsive Customer Support
This is where Gridmate truly stands out. Their support team is known for going above and beyond — not only answering questions. Support is fast, personable, and easy to reach by email. I’ve had one customer that was struggling trying to filter a particular grid. We reached out to their support and not only did they show us what to do, they made some great recommendations on how to make the grid more useful based on the use case. I did find a bug with one of their components that was fairly specific to the uncommon use case I was using the component for. After contact support, not only did they make sure they understood the problem, they confirmed it by showing me how they replicated the issue. There was a fix and a package update in less than a week. That has been nearly unheard in my eighteen years of working with AppExchange partners.
Is Gridmate Right For You?
If you have multiple surveys, “contact us” forms, and other data collection needs this tool might be for you. It’s one of the fastest and easier form tools we’ve found.
